HPL Surface Bonded Aluminium Honeycomb Panel with Wood Frame Edge For Ship Wall
HPL (High Pressure Laminates) Surface Bonded Aluminium Honeycomb Panel with Wood Frame Edge for Ship Wall is a kind of high-grade sandwich composite materials of fire prevention and environmental protection, which uses aluminium honeycomb panel as base panel with the HPL panel as the surface veneer. The wood frame can make the panel more installation and heat and sound insulation options. The product is with a luxurious surface apperance which is widely used for the shipbuilding industry.
A. light weight, the volume density is small, about 211kg/m3, 1/13 of the construction gypsum, 1/15 of the ordinary cement, 1/2 of the normal honeycomb plate, and 1/2 of the lumber. For example, an 18mm thick HPL honeycomb panel is only 3.8kg/m2.
B. High bending stiffness to weight. The 18mm thick HPL honeycomb panel possesses the equivalent
bending stiffness to the 4mm thick aluminum plate also with large plain compressive strength which can resist soft impact.
C. excellent flame retardant performance. HPL honeycomb panel is backed with and aluminum honeycomb panel and attached with a HPL panel with very limited combustible materials. According to GB 8624-2006, building materials and product combustion performance rating, the panel can be graded as A2.
D. Cost-effective. With same performance as aluminum honeycomb panel, but it is cheaper and lighter.

Aluminum honeycomb panel is a bonded sandwich structure system of two surface aluminium plates and one honeycomb cores with a special purpose adhesive. Industrial used aluminium honeycomb panel will add some more processes such as surface treatment, edging, embedding, carving and so on to make the panel suitable for special conditions. It has been widely used by the industries of civil construction, transportation, exhibition, signage, elevator, clean room etc. The honeycomb technology is from aerospace technology. The whole production process is finished in the modern factory, using hot pressing or vacuum pressing technology. Due to the high thermal conductivity between the aluminum plates and honeycomb, it is synchronized the thermal expansion and contraction of the inside and outside aluminium material. There are small holes on the honeycomb core foil wall so that the air is free of flowing inside the panel box. Furthermore, sliding mounting buckle system does not cause structural deformation during thermal expansion and contraction.
