Aramid honeycomb core is a high-performance, non-metallic sandwich core material manufactured from aramid fiber paper (meta-aramid or para-aramid) impregnated with heat-resistant phenolic resin. With densities ranging from 29 to 144 kg/m³, aramid honeycomb is up to 50% lighter than aluminum honeycomb at equivalent stiffness.
